 LOCATION

The Inn and Conference Center by Marriott is the conference hotel, and it is located on the campus of the University of Maryland. This hotel is located within a 10-minute walk from the conference venue, the Smith School of Business.  TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

When making your travel arrangements, we suggest that you use Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI). BWI is about 30 miles north of the hotel. You should consider the SuperShuttle service to get from BWI to The Inn & Conference Center. This service costs about $30 one way. You can make reservations online at www.supershuttle.com. The hotel name is Marriott Inn.

Please keep in mind that Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) also serve the area. DCA is about 20 miles from the hotel and IAD is about 35 miles away. The SuperShuttle costs about $30 one way from DCA. Taxicab service is available (about $50 one way from DCA; check with the taxicab driver for the exact rate). You may want to consider renting a car (the hotel charges $6 a day for parking).
 

 RATES

The room rate is $149 single (one king or queen bed) and $169 double (two queen beds) plus 5% tax. There are a limited number of rooms of each type available at these rates. These rates apply from June 4-7, 2008.
 
 RESERVATIONS

Room reservations must be made prior to May 1, 2008 to ensure the $149 and $169 rates. Reservations received after this date are subject to availability at prevailing rates.

Reservations can be made by contacting Marriott reservations (800-676-6137). Please be sure to refer to the special Code MSOM 2008 Conference.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 pm.

A reservation must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. You may cancel your reservation for no charge until 6 PM hotel time on the day of arrival. Please note that the hotel will assess a fee equal to one night’s room charge plus tax if you cancel after this deadline.

The Inn and Conference Center has 226 rooms and 11 suites and is 100% smoke-free. The hotel has a fitness room.

All rooms and suites include cable TV, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and complimentary high-speed Internet connection.
