Faculty Position in Information Systems

The Decision and Information Technologies (D&IT) Department invites applications for a faculty position in Information Systems. Rank is open. We are seeking candidates with a strong commitment to high-quality research and, for candidates to Associate or Full Professor, a commensurate record of research publications. The IS faculty at the University of Maryland (http://www.rhsmith.umd.edu/dit/) is a vibrant group actively engaged in theoretical and applied research projects spanning all areas of management and use of information technology in business.

The Robert H. Smith School of Business (http://www.rhsmith.umd.edu) is fully committed to information technology as the centerpiece of its strategy in research, instruction and business partnerships. In addition to growing its department of Decision & Information Technologies (D&IT), the School has established the Center for Electronic Markets and Enterprises (CEME) and the Center for Health Information and Decision Systems (CHIDS). The Centers sponsor multidisciplinary research on problems of current and future importance in the fields of electronic markets and health information systems. The Robert H. Smith School of Business has nationally ranked MBA and undergraduate programs as well as a strong doctoral program.

The Decision and Information Technologies (D&IT) Department invites applications for a faculty position in Operations Management. Rank is open. We are seeking candidates with a strong commitment to high-quality research and, for candidates to Associate or Full Professor, a commensurate record of research publications. The D&IT faculty at the University of Maryland is a vibrant group actively engaged in theoretical and applied research spanning information systems, operations management, management science, and statistics. The Robert H. Smith School of Business has nationally ranked MBA and undergraduate programs, as well as a strong doctoral program.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Operations Management or related fields. He/she is expected to teach operations management courses to undergraduates, MBAs and PhD students.
