CHIDS’ core team consists of faculty, fellows, and students involved in the day today operations and management of the center. The core team includes the director, executive director, program coordinator and designated members with specific. Our affiliate faculty, the advisory board, and Smith School staff members provide key support for the center in various activities. The graduate research fellows lead various areas of research and undergraduate research fellows provide support in the research process; and sometimes lead independent research projects. The current CHIDS core team is as follows:
Barney Corwinis lecturer in Smith School MBA program. He has more than two decades of experience, and most recently as the chief information officer of the DC Department of Health. He is involved in the member relations and outreach functions for CHIDS.
Faye Baker
is the program coordinator for the center. She has extensive
experience in coordination roles at the
Smith School and elsewhere. Currently
she is responsible for the
administrative support and communication
portfolio for the center.
Jiban Khuntia
is a PhD student in information systems at Smith School. He has been a fellow in the center since 2006. With his prior corporate experience of more than 10 years, Jiban
is leading several research projects and
is involved in the management of the
center. His major interests are health
information technology infrastructure
and related socio-economic developments.
Kenyon Crowley is a graduate student in MBA/MS Information Systems Program at Smith School. Prior to returning to school, he worked for over 10 years in various entrepreneurial roles. Kenyon is very interested in innovative technologies leading to radical improvements in healthcare. He manages member relationships and outreach functions at CHIDS.
Jeffrey Blander has responsibility for member relationships and corporate outreach for CHIDS. He is completing his PhD at the Harvard School of Public Health and has extensive international experience as well as a strong public health background.
